Cliff Ostrowski brings a wealth of experience to the Silk team. He began his culinary career after graduating the Culinary Institute of America in New York, followed by a move to Chicago to join the team at The Four Seasons. Cliff was then a Sous Chef for Red Light Restaurant in Chicago, an upscale bistro style French/Asian fusion restaurant. He then chose to travel the country for a few years working in various restaurants and hotels including the Hyatt in Dallas where he was Chef de Cuisine.
Cliff returned to Chicago as the Executive Chef for Oakbrook Hills Resort in Oakbrook, a 4-Diamond luxury Golf Resort & Spa. He then became opening Executive Chef for Renaissance Chicago O’Hare Suites in Chicago. His most recent position was the Executive Chef / Food and Beverage Director for the Hard Rock Hotel and China Grill Chicago.
Bo Wungwattana Co Executive Chef and Owner
Bo Wungwattana is a rising star in the culinary scene of Chicago. He began his career after graduating Kendall College in Chicago where he excelled in culinary arts. He then took his first position with Ginger Asian Bistro in Orland Park. His most recent position was at Japonais in Chicago where he grew into the Executive Chef role after two years.
The Silk team feels that Chef Cliff’s and Chef Bo’s extensive culinary background and style will add exciting and exotic flavors to an already exciting Chinese influenced menu. Using global ingredients with Asian sensibility to create a modern twist on classic Asian dishes, Silk Asian Tavern will focus on creating a urban atmosphere with urban food presentation in a suburban setting.
